We are now accepting vendor applications for the 2nd Annual Townshend Pickle Day 2023 taking place from 10AM-4PM on August 12, 2023 at the Townshend, VT Town Commons. We had a great turnout last year and our vendors sold nearly all of their products!
This year, we are looking for three types of vendors:
1. Prepared Food and Beverage Vendors featuring at least one pickle-related menu item.
*Note that you may NOT serve whole pickles, jarred pickles or packaged fermented cabbage products.
2. Vermont Market Farms selling raw, farm-fresh pickle and kraut ingredients and “Make-Your-Own-Pickle” and kraut packages including ingredients like pickling cucumbers, cabbage, garlic, onions, dill, mustard seeds, hot peppers, etc.
3. Non-Food Artisanal Products featuring one or more pickle-related feature items. Items that you sell must be produced in New England or produced directly by the seller in attendance at Townshend Pick Day.
*Note that you may NOT sell t-shirts, hats or tote bags.

Homemade Pickle Contest
Do you make killer pickles or just want to see how your pickles, sauerkraut or dilly beans stacks up to the rest? Enter your pickles and have a chance to win cash prizes!

Guidelines for entry:
Indicate which categories you would like to enter. Feel free to enter any or all categories. Maximum entries per category: 1
- Lacto-fermented Cucumber Pickles
- Lacto-fermented Non-Cucumber Vegetables
- Vinegar Cucumber Pickles
- Vinegar Non-Cucumber Vegetables
- JUNIOR (18 and Under) Open Category
All pickles must be homemade by the person entering, a member of their household, or an extended family member (ie Grandma’s pickles).
In order to be eligible for prizes, pickles must be in a sealed container and labeled with the following information:
- Pickle category
- Name of pickle maker
- Phone number
Official Pickle Judging will occur on Friday, August 11th and winners will be announced at 11:00AM shortly after the event begins on August 12, 2023. Your presence at the awards ceremony is encouraged but not mandatory.
Kid’s Pickle Olympics
Kids are totally welcome! All kids who come to Pickle Day will have a chance to participate in a series of pickle-themed “Olympic Games”.
